Meet the Engineers
DI Günter Lihl - Product Development Manager
Mr. Lihl has more than 40 years combined experience in designing analogue and mixed signal circuits. He started his professional career working as a project manager for Philips Research Laboratories in the field of developing measurement and test engineering equipment. In the 80's he started his own company creating remote handset kits for car telephones. The technology of those early mobile devices was a forerunner of today's modern cellular phone equipment. Among other innovations, Mr. Lihl pioneered the world's first true high-end car radio in 1988, known as the Digatec 505, which was distributed by the German car hi-fi and home audio manufacturer Magnat. At the time, the Digatec 505 already featured a built-in RDS tuner, CD playback and theft protection, and could interface directly with car telephones.
Mr. Lihl holds a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Technology, Vienna.
"The Symphony product line is a result of my efforts to build audio equipment that satisfies an engineer's intellectual quest for perfection and an audiophile's ear."
